Cabbage steaks are quartered cabbage heads, drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with seasoning, and oven-roasted to crispy perfection. This healthy side dish takes just 30 minutes to prepare.
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Rinse and dry the cabbage thoroughly. Now cut the stem off of the head of cabbage.
Once the stem is removed, cut the cabbage in half right down the middle. Then cut each half in half one more time. You should end up with 4 cabbage steaks that are about 2 inches each.
Now place the cabbage steaks flat on the parchment paper, in one single layer.
Drizzle each steak with the olive oil, then sprinkle the seasonings evenly over each side of the steaks. Adjust the salt to your taste.
Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake the steaks for 20-25 minutes, or until they begin to brown and the center is nice and tender. Serve right away, and Enjoy!
