Ingredients

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs
  • cups mayonnaise add more for desired texture
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1-2 teaspoons Sugar optional but recommended
  • ½ teaspoon White vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Optional: chopped chives pickles, or crispy bacon for additional flavor

Instructions

  • 1. Hard-boil the eggs: Start by placing the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and covering them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then cover and remove the pan from the heat. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 11 minutes. Afterward, transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool down quickly. Once the eggs are cool, carefully peel off the shells.
  • 2. Prepare the filling: Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a separate bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork until they're crumbly.
  • 3. Add the mayonnaise, relish, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the yolks. Mix everything together until the filling is smooth and creamy. If you'd like to add some extra flavor, consider mixing in chopped chives, pickles, or crispy bacon at this stage.
  • 4. Fill the egg whites: Using a spoon, carefully scoop the yolk mixture into the hollowed-out egg whites. You can either spoon the filling in for a rustic look or use a piping bag for a more refined presentation. Sprinkle paprika over the filled eggs for a hint of color and additional flavor.
  • 5. Chill and serve: Once the eggs are filled, cover the tray with plastic wrap and refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. When you're ready to serve, arrange the deviled eggs on a platter and Enjoy!
