Ingredients

  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 ¼ cup Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 large Egg
  • Syrup or honey for serving

Instructions

  • Add your dry ingredients into a large bowl. Including the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir the dry ingredients until they are fully combined.
  • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and gently pour in your milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg.
  • Stir the mixture up until everything is fully incorporated. There may be some air bubbles in the mixture, but it should be fairly smooth.
  • Warm up a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Spread a stick of butter into the pan for added flavor, and to prevent sticking.
  • Ladle in about ¼ cup of the pancake mix into the skillet. If making more than one at a time, leave at least 2 inches between each pancake. The mixture will spread out as it cooks.
  • Once you begin to see bubbles in the pancake mixture (after about 1-2 minutes), it is time to flip. Flip the pancake and cook on the other side for 1-2 minutes.
  • ONLY FLIP THE PANCAKES ONE TIME!
  • Once the pancakes are done, remove them from the skillet and repeat the process until all of the flapjacks are made.
  • Serve with butter and syrup, and enjoy!
