Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby bok choy
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish optional

Instructions

  • 1. Wash the baby bok choy thoroughly under cold running water. Trim the ends and cut them in half lengthwise.
  • 2. Heat up the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • 3. Gently add the  minced garlic and grated ginger to the hot oil. Sauté for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
  • 4. Add the baby bok choy to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, tossing the bok choy to coat it evenly with the garlic and ginger.
  • 5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the bok choy.
  • 6. Continue stir-frying for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the bok choy is tender-crisp. Be careful not to overcook; you want it to remain slightly crunchy.
  • 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • 8. Transfer the baby bok choy to a serving platter. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
  • 9. Serve immediately as a side dish with rice or your favorite main course.
  • Enjoy your delicious baby bok choy with garlic!
